While the very long awaited sequel to Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has yet to hit store shelves, series producer Ryota Niitsuma is considering possibilities for the future of the series. While crossovers with just two series and or developers have left us perfectly happy for a decade and a half, Niitsuma thinks that a crossover containing three entities is the next stop for the series:

"I'm thinking of taking the whole thing to the next level. So rather than just Capcom doing a crossover with one more franchise, we'd like to look into doing three at once. Now, obviously the whole co-ordination issue is huge, but it would be very interesting if we could do that.  Marvel vs. Capcom vs. SNK or Namco x Tatsunoko x Capcom"

I for one would certainly not be opposed to such a crossover, but I envision the character select screen getting a little out of hand. You'll definitely want to head over to the source for a full interview with Niitsuma-San. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 launches on February 15th for HD consoles. Check out more related news here.
