Just last week, we reported that Disco Elysium would be getting the TV treatment courtesy of dj2 Entertainment, the producers behind this year's Sonic The Hedgehog movie. Apparently the entertainment company isn't stopping there. According to a report from Hollywood Reporter, dj2 will be collaborating with Legendary Television and 87North Productions to produce a new T.V show based on Dead Toast Productions' My Friend Pedro.

The show is slated to be rated R, which makes sense considering it will be written and executive produced by John Wick Creator Derek Kolstad. Also working on the show will be Executive Producers David Leitich of 87 North, who co-directed John Wick, Kelly McCormick; Howard Bliss, Stephan Bugaj and Dimitri Johnson of dj2; and Mike Wilson, co-founder of Devolver Digital, the publisher of My Friend Pedro.

Having played through My Friend Pedro a few times, I can't say this comes as a surprise. The game is practically an action movie already, just with a player in charge. Its slow-motion mechanics, 2.5D point of view and flat-out wackiness all lend to that. Frankly, it doesn't get more action movie than riding a skateboard through a window, kicking that board into someone else's head, and then kicking that severed head at some other poor schmuck.

It doesn't seem like we'll be getting much more news about this recent adaptation any time soon. Much like the deal dj2 had made to produce a Disco Elysium series, this My Friend Pedro show is in extremely early stages.
