Developer Pathea Games announced today that its upcoming open world RPG simulation title My Time at Portia has made its way to Kickstarter in hopes of reaching its ambitious crowdfunding goals.

Pathea Games, previously responsible for open world sandbox and survival title Planet Explorers, calls My Time at Portia a combination of Hayao Miyazaki films such as Castle in the Sky and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, as well as gameplay from titles like Harvest MoonStardew Valley, Animal CrossingDark Cloud 2, and Steambot Chronicles.

In My Time at Portia, you inherit a workshop in a town that sits just on the edge of a civilization currently in the aftermath of an apocalyptic age. It will be up to you to craft new and unique objects that will better society and to build friendships with the people who occupy it.

My Time at Portia is currently looking to raise a Kickstarter pledge goal of $100,000, of which the team has raised $2,833 as of writing this article. The campaign will continue until October 11.

My Time at Portia is currently planned to come to PC, Mac, and PlayStation 4, as the team has familiarity developing for those platforms. However, Pathea Games would like to see the title come to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and it has added stretch goals to the campaign in hopes of that desire becoming a reality.
