Myst To Get New TV Show, Possibility for Tie In Game
Myst creators Rand and Robyn Miller have signed a deal with Legendary Entertainment to bring life to a Myst TV series.
Both creators will have a hand in the creative process of the series, it was announced.
The TV series will only be the first step in this new chapter for Myst, the creators said. They also intend to release companion video game and use tablet apps to expand on the story told through the series.
Legendary are still deciding if the TV series will be released via normal television broadcast or as an online stream.
Legendary Entertainment has previously worked on a host of other titles, including this year’s Godzilla, last year’s Pacific Rim and the three most recent Batman films.
The original Myst released back in 1993, and set a new standard for exploratory adventure games.
