24 Entertainment has announced during the Naraka Fest 2022 showcase that the battle royale fighting game Naraka: Bladepoint will be heading to Xbox One on December 22. The developer has also revealed a NieR crossover event with new playable content inspired by Square Enix's action series, as well as a new hero and weapon that will be added ahead of the game's Xbox launch.

Naraka: Bladepoint is currently available on Xbox Series X|S via Game Pass, and the online action thriller will also land on Xbox One to reach as many players as possible. The developer previously mentioned irs plans to bring Naraka to PlayStation 5 a couple of months ago, however, it remains uncertain whether it will release on the current-gen console or not. Naraka: Bladepoint also introduces a new story chapter, SHOWDOWN Chapter III, which will arrive in January 2023. It expands the game's co-op PvE mode, where players will squad up with NARAKA veterans to fight Viper Ning's mother.

A special NieR crossover event has also been revealed during the event, featuring new playable content inspired by the classic action series. Players will access characters and weapons from the world of NieR, and immerse themselves in a new storyline set in a twisted universe. "24 Entertainment are proud to announce an upcoming collaboration with Square Enix as Yoko Taro’s twisted universe bleeds into the popular multiplayer title," reads the statement. Further information regarding this crossover event will be shared soon.

The Pole Staff, another new weapon type will be added to expand the game's melee arsenal in February 2023. Naraka: Bladepoint also reveals a new playable hero Feria Shen, who will be available later this month, on December 22. She is a famed mech rider and weapon master armed with devastating Swarm launchers. Lastly, a brand new Tianhai legendary skin will be available to purchase in the store from December 22.

Naraka: Bladepoint is an online multiplayer game where up to 60 players dive into mythical battles. The game emphasizes a movement-based, melee combat style with a vast arsenal of weapons, heroes, and abilities. Players can join one-versus-one duels or arena brawls to show their combat expertise. Naraka: Bladepoint is available now on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
