Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is a new tactical turn-based strategy game from publisher Curve Digital and developer Kuju. The game is based on Narcos, the hit Netflix show and promises brutal strategy gameplay. Curve Digital put out two trailers to celebrate the game's announcement. They show off the two warring sides in the ongoing fight between the game's cartels and the DEA. Check them out below.
Narcos: Rise of the Cartels lets you play in the shoes of some of the most iconic characters from the TV show. And these characters aren't just for show, they will each have their own separate leader ability that will help your squad out of a tight spot. Characters like El Mexicano, Murphy, Primo, and more will make their presence known throughout the campaign.
The game features two different campaigns. You'll be able to side with the DEA and bring the drug empire to justice. Alternatively, you could sign up with El Patron and grow the Narcos into the biggest drug cartel in the business. Either way, you'll be engaging in a turn-based strategy to realize your lofty aspirations. Players will need to carefully consider every situation. While the team is aiming to speed up the gameplay more than its contemporaries, there will still be major consequences for poor decision-making.
Narcos: Rise of the Cartels comes this fall to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If Curve Digital's recent publishing run is anything to go by, Narcos looks like it might be a fun romp through the TV show's drug-filled world.
