Today, new DLC is being added into Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker in the form of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Sarutobi is available as a free playable character to all players. Additionally, you’ll be able to grab some of his clothing, weapons, and jutsu if you buy the latest paid pack. You can check out the DLC trailer down below to see Sarutobi in action.

The Third Hokage appears in the original Naruto anime and manga. He’ll be using a mixture of fire style and earth style jutsu in Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. His secret technique is Reaper Death Steal, a move that has the user die, but in return seal the soul of their enemy. Sarutobi uses this technique on Orochimaru in the original series, albeit he’s only able to seal Orochimaru’s arms in that particular case. It’s unclear how exactly the move will work in-game, considering it kills whoever uses the technique in the actual series.

Sarutobi’s armor will also be available for players to obtain, as well as his adamantine staff. If you’d like to have the character train you, you’ll have to purchase the “Special Master: Ninjutsu Training Vol. 2” for $3.99 USD. But, it’s important to note that the character is still playable for free if you don’t want to pay. You won’t be able to obtain any of his clothing or techniques if you don’t pay for the DLC.

The Sannin Jiraiya was the first character that was added itoNaruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. I reviewed the game back when it launched in late August, and as a longtime Naruto fan, I really did enjoy it even with its faults.

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
