Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker might be finally solving its hacking and cheater problem, here’s what’s happening.

Released in August 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows, Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker is an online competitive game where teams of four players confront each other.

There are several iconic characters from the original Naruto manga in the game, and a few from the Boruto sequel. Each character has a specific role between Close-range, Long-range, Defense, and Healer. Plus, players can create their own Original Characters too.

Furthermore, Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker regularly organizes the Ninja World League. A big leaderboard where teams compete in two of the four modes in the game. The winners get exclusive rewards like cosmetics for their OCs.

Naruto Shinobi Striker servers are infested with modders and cheaters

Many players have been using modded game saves to cheat during Naruto Shinobi Striker matches. Or to immediately unlock all the cosmetics from Ninja World League, ruining the hard work needed. There’s also an issue in how mods are easily accessible on social media or YouTube. And Bandai Namco hasn’t done much to stop it.

Following that, since June 2021 the Naruto Shinobi Striker community started banding together to tackle the cheater problem. A hashtag was started on social media #FixShinobiStriker. Some YouTubers part of the game’s community such as Globku, seen below, have been striving to make the hashtag trend too.

Now, on September 22, Bandai Namco has finally directly mentioned the issue on social media. The Bandai Namco US Twitter account stated it’s looking into solutions “to make Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker a better experience for all fans”.

For now, we can only wait for more details on how the cheater problem will be handled. We can expect some ban waves on Naruto Shinobi Striker servers, as it should be fairly easy to detect players using modded saves.
