NASCAR video game fans around the world are rejoicing this week as the team behind NASCAR Heat 4 has begun announcing details about the upcoming game. They've started the race to release off with a bang via a short action-packed teaser trailer. You can watch it for yourself below.
NASCAR Heat 4 brings a number of new things to the table. The game will feature "a deeper career mode, upgraded graphics, track maps," and much more. The focus on career mode has been one of the strengths of the series. It sounds like they've only increased the emphasis on it. We've seen some recent success with career modes in racing games like F1 2019, so I'll be interested to see NASCAR's latest take.
The game includes 38 tracks for you to race across and gives you over 150 different official teams to drive as. This includes cover athlete Kevin Harvick. Plus, if you elect to purchase the Gold Edition, you can race as the legendary Jeff Gordon car. The team has also added the Toyota Supra series, which should be a nice change of pace for long-time fans.
Add in improved driving physics and new on-track audio, and you're starting to build quite the package for NASCAR fans. As we move closer to release, we should be getting more in-depth looks at things like career mode. Hopefully, the team can deliver an awesome race day experience for fans of the genre and bring in new players with a quality career mode.
NASCAR Heat 4 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One this September.
