After visiting numerous places and traveling circuits around the country, by early next year gamers could find a museum of their very own with the approved new home of the National Video Game Museum in Frisco, Texas.

Reports detail that approval has been granted for the development of the National Video Game Museum to occupy space in the Frisco Discovery Center, with the new museum in place to take 10,400 square feet of the center and be ready by this coming April.

Approved by The Frisco Community Development Corporation board, the project will cost nearly $800,000 to update the building and to provide additional parking facilities, alongside donations of $100,000 from the CDC and Frisco Convention and Visitors Bureau.
