Ever since the impact of The Last of Part 2, fans of the studio have continuously been wondering what's the next game from Naughty Dog? Whether it's a completely new IP or a continuation of a title, the mystery that veils their next adventure is something Naughty Dog holds close to their hearts. It doesn't help to clear up matters when Neil Druckmann teases on Twitter that The Last of Us Part 2 developer is ‘making something very cool’ for its next project and leaving it at that. But according to a senior concept artist at Naughty Dog, we could have a hint at their next game if their fantasy-themed artwork is anything to go by.

Towards the end of last year, senior concept artist, Hyoung Nam, shared some of their art pieces to their personal Artstation account which showcased a woman leaning on a sword while nestled on top of a gigantic Dragon's head and going by the blood on her sword, it looks like she killed the beast herself. Also included in Nam's artwork are two other women, one with hypnotic eyes and the other in a shaman-like outfit with a ram's skull on her head whilst holding a staff that looks to be a human skull sitting on top. It's all beautifully well done and intriguing, to say the least.

Nam added into the description of the three women that reads “Inspire from new game. You know what I’m talking about…”, with a little winky emoji.  The three pieces all fall under the title “The Women of North” so it seems Nam might be giving us a clue here on what Naughty Dog's next title could be and it seems like they could possibly be going down the fantasy genre which is certainly a very new idea for the studio if this is the case.

Of course, who knows for sure and things change all the time in the game development world. But just looking at this concept art from Naughty Dog's senior concept artist is really exciting. I would personally love to see the studio go down this route and open themselves up to something totally different but as always, we will just have to wait and see.
