Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann Mocks The Last Guardian Cancellation Rumor’s Internal Sources

As probably most of the internet already knows, between today and yesterday a few media outlets reported the alleged cancellation of Tean ICO’s The Last Guardian, citing internal Sony source as the origin of the rumor, and even going as far as mentioning that it was “officially” canceled.

Naughty Dog Creative Director Neil Druckmann has been under fire by this kind of internal sources in the past, during the whole hubbub about the departure of Amy Hennig. Some media outlets chalked that as his fault, forcing the studio’s co-founders to take steps in order to protect their employee’s reputation.

In that light, it’s quite understandable for Druckmann’s reaction to be not exactly charitable, as he shared on Twitter.

For those that aren’t familiar with Game of Thrones, the two “gentlemen” (airquotes obligatory) portrayed are Varys and Petyr Baelish, and they aren’t exactly held in high regards due to their activity as spies. Those that read the books or watched the movies will probably catch the reference quite easily.
