Duck Down Music and 2K Sports have teamed up to announce a thrilling contest for all of you who may be interested in the music industry to create some magic. Along with this, comes the chance to have your song chosen for the NBA 2K11 soundtrack, the next release in the popular NBA 2K series.

The roll out will release in two phases:

The first phase is the NBA 2K11Producer Contest, which started on March 3rd. Producers will have a total of three weeks to perfect one sample-free instrumental. All submissions must be turned in by the 22nd of March. They are encouraging the producers to record their song process and include it with their submissions. The top ten instrumentals will be selected by Duck Down Music A&R and representatives from 2K Sports. Each instrumental will also be shown online and fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite track. The winner will be announced on April 5th.

The second phase is the NBA 2K11 MC Contest, and will start on April the 6th. MC's will have four weeks to take the winning instrumental and submit one clean track. All submissions must be entered by May 4th, and like the Producer contest, Duck Down and 2K Sports will choose the top ten and allow the fans to vote for the final track and on May 11th they will announce the winner.

The final winner of each contest will have their song featured on the NBA 2K11 soundtrack. And if that's not enough, they will each receive an all expense paid trip to New York City where they will perform their song live at Duck Down's CMJ Showcase in October.
