NBA 2K18's is adding two new features to enhance the game's MyTEAM mode.

August 18, 2017

Today 2K Sports released a brand new trailer for its upcoming basketball game NBA 2K18 focusing on MyTEAM mode and the new features being implemented this year.

According to the developer, 2K18 will launch two brand new modes that fans have been requesting for: Draft mode and Super Max.

The Draft mode will combine features from various collection methods as well as some new distinctive features. According to the developer’s blog post, players start off by selecting a coach, but choose wisely, because the coach you pick will determine the play style your team will run. Additionally, the all-new proficiency system will impact your coach’s scheme as well as player performance.

Once your staff has been finalized, you will play against other draft teams in best-of-seven elimination matches. However, each game will pit you against a different team. If your team loses four of the seven games, you will be eliminated and sent back to the beginning.

Another new mode coming to 2K18 this year is Super-Max, a feature that may help balance out the playing field and add more competitiveness to MyTeam. Super-Max is an online, season-play feature, which sets a salary cap for online matches. Fans will have to put together the best team possible all while staying under the salary cap for that round.
