What’s New In Today’s NBA 2K22 Patch?

We’re still waiting for the official details on today’s NBA 2K22 update, but with Season 4 expected to be launching at the end of this week, today’s patch is likely in preparation for the release of the new season.

Although yet to be confirmed, Season 4 of NBA 2K22 is rumoured to begin on January 14th, 2022. This would mark six weeks since the release of Season 3, which is the usual time in between new seasons.

Alongside the new season preparations, the official NBA 2K22 Twitter account states that today’s update also marks the return of Treasure Island on current-gen consoles.

Unfortunately, that means players are in for a large patch size. Xbox users are reporting a download size of 38.6GB, whilst PlayStation users will find a slightly smaller 23.152GB patch.

Players are also reporting that their stars have been taken away following today’s patch, but whether or not this was intentional is unknown. Once more details are shared by the developers regarding today’s update, we will be sure to update this article.
