Over a year ago, developer Rogue Factor and publisher Focus Home Interactive, who previously worked together on Mordheim: City of the Damnedannounced that they would once again be partnering release Necromunda: Underhive Wars, a video game adaption Warhammer 40K tabletop game of the same name. That being said details about the game were scarce at that time, and we didn't even get a trailer.

Today, they finally released a teaser trailer for the game and gave us more details about the gameplay side of things. First, the vague "PC and consoles" platform tease was narrowed down to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Sorry Nintendo Switch fans. That being said, the game is still without a release date or even a release window.

Necromunda: Underhive Wars is described by its developers as a turn-based tactical RPG. The game's maps are set to have a ton of vertically in order to reflect the abundance of Hive Cities in the game's world. Players will be able to choose between a variety of gangs to play as, though only two were revealed at this time. These are the Eschers, drug dealers who cater to those living in the Underhive, and the Goliaths, huge fighters that use strength-enhance drugs in battle.

Each fighting is set to be very customizable, so you can determine each one's loadout and appearance. Each character also has a designated Career that will net them special skills and weapons. Death and injuries are permanent in Necromunda: Underhive Wars, which encourages more thoughtful and methodical playstyles.

Outside the game's main story, players can also partake in the endless Conquest mode, which actually incorporates 4X game mechanics like controlling territory. There will also be competitive multiplayer, so players can test their skill against each other. While it doesn't include any gameplay, you can check out the first teaser trailer for Necromunda: Underhive Wars below.
