Need For Speed Underground 2 fan-remastered trailer makes me want to dominate the Bayview streets once again in a remake of the game.

There is absolutely no doubt that the Need For Speed series has been on the wrong track for over a decade now. With the Forza Horizon series getting better and better which each new entry, it's now even harder for Need For Speed to take the top spot back in a sub-genre that almost belonged to it once upon a time.

To be honest, Criterion Games' Need For Speed Hot Pursuit in 2010 was the last title from the series with that unique NFS magic that we used to see in most titles of the franchise.

Since the beginning of the 8th-generation of consoles, Ghost Games took the helm for the Need For Speed series, and the quality of the new entries started to go anywhere but up. Every new entry was absolutely worse than its processor, except for Need For Speed Heat, which eventually showed off some improvements compared to Payback, probably the worst NFS game of all time.

Need For Speed Underground 2 Fan-Remastered Trailer Makes Me Wish It Was a Real Remake

Putting all these bad memories of the recent years aside, Electronic Arts has been pretty kind towards remakes and remasters in the past few years. They launched a remaster of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, they greenlit the remake project for Dead Space, and they remastered the legendary Mass Effect trilogy.

So, why shouldn't we get a remake or at least a remaster for Need For Speed Underground 2? It's probably one of the best entries of the whole franchise next to Need For Speed Most Wanted (2005), and fans would definitely be more than happy to hear anything about the return of this legendary arcade racing.

This incredible recreation of the Need For Speed Underground 2 trailer, featuring the memorable "Riders on the Storm" track definitely makes you want to get back to the streets of Bayview once again for mid-night races, new donut records, and spending hours for tuning every given car. Thank you, ODONATA CINEMA, for reminding us of these golden memories!

Right now, Criterion Games is working on the next mainline entry of the Need For Speed, which is expected to launch later in 2022 if nothing goes wrong. While we have high hopes that the creators of 2010's legendary Hot Pursuit revive the whole franchise once again, nothing can be compared to the joy of returning to Bayview in Underground 2 at the moment!
