Whenever a famous nerd property is slated for a film adaptation, there is always the risk that the people behind the creative process will take liberties with key characters appearances and storylines. Neil Druckmann, Creative Director at Naughty Dog has assured gamers that the story of The Last of Us will at least be lifted straight from the game in its upcoming film adaptation.

"It’s an adaptation of the story of The Last of Us," he explained in a recent interview. "As far as where we go and how we make it fit into a film, how it takes into account the unique properties of film... We’re not sure yet. We’re only just scratching the surface."

The imminent arrival of a third piece of multiplayer DLC was also confirmed.

The Last of Us most recently won four awards at the BAFTA 2014 Game Awards, tying them with Uncharted 2's record for most wins in a night.
