Earlier this month, we learned that the Japanese version of Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World had been pushed back from a December 2018 release to January 31, 2019. DualShockers noticed then that the western release of this title was slated for an Early/Winter 2019 launch and would probably would be impacted by that Japanese delay.

We asked Koei Tecmo America about this, and were told that "an official release date announcement will be made in the coming weeks." Today, that announcement was finally made. The western release of Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World will just barely miss out on releasing in Winter, as it is coming out for PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2019.

While the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World will see a physical release in the west, the PC version of the game will only be available digitally on Steam. For those of you who may not know about the game, it is a city-builder that follows the titular Nelke von Lestamm as she develops her village of Westwald so she can find sacred Granzweit Tree.

Research portions of the game will also have Nelke and other Atelier characters venture outside of town to find resources before synthesizing them. Producers Keisuke Kikuchi and Junzo Hosoi also delved into Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World in a recent interview with DualShockers. more

This western release date announcement came alongside a new gameplay video showing off how researching works in English, so you can check that out below alongside some new screenshots. On March 26, 2019, Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World will be available for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4.
