One of the indie games that stuck out to me the most at E3 2019 was Neo Cab, a cyberpunk game about a rideshare driver. While that may sound like an odd pitch, the writing was great and it had a cool aesthetic. Fortunately, we will not have to wait much longer to try the game as Chance Agency and Fellow Traveller revealed today that Neo Cab will be releasing for both PC and Nintendo Switch on October 3. Even better, a demo of the game is available today.

As of now, the demo is already available on both platforms and Nintendo Switch owners can pre-order the game. For those still deciding on which version of Neo Cab they should get, it is worth noting that the Steam version of the game will only cost $14.99 while the Nintendo Switch version will be $19.99. Neo Cab doesn't seem to have a ton of indie competition around its release day, though it is launching the same week as some big titles like Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

To get a better idea of what exactly Neo Cab entails, here's a detailed explanation straight from Creative Lead Patrick Ewing. "What are the merits of personal, human service and why are sterile, automated interactions often presented as a core part of utopia? In Neo Cab, Lina is one of the last human drivers, and so those who get into her cab are in need of the human touch! Some of her passengers will enjoy having a conversation while they get from Point A to Point B. Others might prefer that automated utopia, and see Lina as just another node in the service mesh of automated capitalism."

If you want to see how the game actually plays, you should watch the trailer revealing the release date below. Neo Cab finally releases for PC and Nintendo Switch on October 3.
