Neo Geo Mini Gets Japanese Release Date and Price; Coming in July

SNK revealed the release date and the price for the Japanese version of the Neo Geo Mini, which will launch locally on July 24th.

Today SNK announced the release date of the Neo Geo Mini for the Japanese market.

The classic mini console will release in the archipelago of the rising sun on July 24th, and pre-orders are already available on the local arm of Amazon.

The price has also been revealed, with the unit costing  12,420 yen tax included. That’s $113 at the current change.

At the moment, we know that the western version is coming some time down the line, and a price for that one has not been revealed yet. That being said, it’s likely that it’ll be similar to the Japanese pricing.

It’s certainly a cool piece of hardware, especially considering that it can be portable due to the size and the possibility to power it via USB, alongside the fact that it includes its own LCD screens and arcade-style controls.
