If you didn’t think scantily clad anime girls personifying game consoles, tossing blows back and forth to help protect the world from the Console Wars was your style, how about handheld systems masquerading as said girls? It was revealed this week by Compile Heart, the developer behind Hyperdimension Neptunia, that the game will certainly be seeing a sequel, titled oddly enough – Hyperdimension Neptunia MK-II, coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3. This time around the game will (hopefully) have better visuals and a four-party battle system. Let’s cross our fingers that the battle system is exponentially more entertaining than the first title, shall we?

There will be all-new characters (as well as some returning, mayhaps?), with a new story that will parody similar game-industry-related stylings as the first title. One new addition is the inclusion of Twitter accounts that all the characters have, with their own avatars and chat back and forth. Just what we need, right?

The title will be released in Japan later this summer and, simply for the parodies alone, I hope NIS America picks up the title once again for release in the West. Hit the break for a smattering of scans from the Dengeki magazine that the game was first revealed in [compliments of Scrawl].
