Nerdgasm: Soul Calibur Announcement Coming in May

Soul Calibur IV designer Daishi Odashima has revealed via his Twitter page that an announcement regarding the next Soul Calibur game should be due in May. The last SC game released was Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny for the PSP. I’ve cried into my pillow each night since its 2009 release hoping that a real Soul Calibur game was in the works. It appears it has helped.

Odashima tweeted:

“Hopefully I will be able to announce something mid May”

It’s already known that he acted as the designer for the last real SC game (as well as Broken Destiny) and is acting as the director of the new game. No, Ivy’s great rack and penchant for exposing it isn’t the reason I like Soul Calibur but it’s certainly a contributing factor. We’ll keep  you posted on further developments.
