Nerf and Fortnite are teaming up to create nerf blasters based on the mega-popular battle royale game. The first of which is the AR-L Blaster which will launch on June 1, 2019 and cost $49.99 USD.

This blaster has flip up sights and rapid-fire shooting. Coming with a 10-dart clip and 20 elite darts, you'll be required to provide the 4 AA batteries to power the AR-L Blaster. This unique Nerf blaster will be available to check out this weekend at TwitchCon. This is the fulfillment of a partnership with Hasbro that was announced in September of this year, which also included a Fortnite monopoly set and was teased yesterday on Nerf's Instagram.

Introducing the Nerf Fortnite AR-L! Motorized blasting action to create your own NERF Fortnite battles!

Nerf has been a source of fun for many childhoods, myself included, in that it allowed you to indulge in the gun-fetishism of America without actually harming someone else. Fortnite was recently updated to include its Halloween-themed event, Fortnitemares, and Epic has also recently opened up a new studio in both Australia and New Zealand thanks to the help of by former Game Developers Association of Australia (GDAA) CEO Tony Reed who recently stepped down. The original Fortnite, which is now known as Save the World, has a free-to-play version that was delayed to 2019 in order to improve performance.
