Directed by Takayuki Hamana at Studio Deen, The Seven Deadly Sins Cursed by Light is the latest anime movie based on The Seven Deadly Sins manga. The film was a huge hit in Japan and grossed over 122 million yen (about US$1.10 million) through the theatrical release.

After the Cursed by Light film came out in Japan, fans were expecting Netflix to acquire rights for the movie in a few months. Fortunately, the streaming platform didn’t disappoint.
Recently, the official website for the anime confirmed that the movie would release exclusively on Netflix on October 1st, 2021. So, you’ll finally get to witness the aftermath of the Holy War next month.
Interestingly, you can already set a reminder for October 1st on Netflix if you want to be notified of the movie’s release. Mostly, the streaming platform updates the library for new releases at 12 AM PDT (Pacific Timing). So, it’s safe to say that The Seven Deadly Sins Cursed By Light would also release at that time.

What’s the Plot of The Seven Deadly Sins Cursed By Light?

The movie takes place after Humans, Goddesses, and Fairies, with Seven Deadly Sins’ help, wins the “Holy War” against the Demons. The Demon King is defeated; however, the Lion Sin of Pride “Escanor” died in the battle.
When the world is finally at peace, each of the Sins takes a different path, and Meliodas travels to a place of memories with Elizabeth. There, he stumbles upon his younger brother, Zeldris. However, the peace doesn’t last long when the Second fairy King Dahlia and “Giant Master Craftsman” Dubs appears as the enemies. So, all the Deadly Sins again reunite to fight against this new threat.
