Netflix’s Castlevania animated series only debuted yesterday and the entertainment company has already confirmed that season two is in the works.

Castlevania released with only four episodes, but many fans of the game series are saying it’s actually a good video game adaptation as opposed to a lot of the other terrible video game-based flicks we get out of Hollywood.

Netflix posted this to their official Twitter yesterday after the show launched:

It looks like season two will have eight episodes as opposed to four like the first season. No details about the plot have been revealed yet.

Castlevania is produced by Adi Shankar, who just recently announced that he’d be working on an upcoming animated Assassin’s Creed series, similar to Castlevania. Although it’s important to note that the Assassin’s Creed series has not been confirmed to be a Netflix exclusive.

The last Castlevania game we got from Konami was Lord of Shadows 2. Maybe we’ll see a new game in the near future if the Netflix series rises in popularity.

Season 1 of Castlevania is available now exclusively on Netflix. There’s currently no release date for season 2.
