Just in case you need to add another horror film to your list as we approach the spooky season, Netflix’s Hypnotic might just hit that spot. A psychological horror-thriller written by Richard D’Ovidio and directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote who previously teamed up on Netflix horror The Open House, it looks like this will surely be a hit among fans.

What is Hypnotic about?

The official synopsis for the movie reads:

“Feeling stuck both personally and professionally, Jenn (Kate Siegel), a young woman reeling from a series of traumatic events, enlists a renowned hypnotherapist, Dr. Meade (Jason O’Mara), to help on her road to recovery. After a handful of intense sessions, terrifying events, and mysterious blackouts, Jenn soon finds herself caught in a dangerous mind game. With the help of Detective Wade Rollins (Dulé Hill), Jen looks to put the pieces together before it’s too late and there are deadly consequences.”

Who Stars in Hypnotic?

Those familiar with Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Bly Manor will recognise Kate Siegel who plays Jenn in Hypnotic. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D star Jason O’Mara plays Dr Collin Meade alongside Dule Hill (Rollins), Lucie Guest (Gina), Jaime M. Callica (Brian), Tanja Dixon-Warren (Dr Stella Graham), Darien Martin (Squad Leader) and Luc Roderique (Scott).

Hypnotic’s Release Date and Time

Hypnotic will be available to stream on Netflix from Wednesday, 27 October so those eager to get stuck into the film won’t have long to wait thankfully. It looks like Hypnotic‘s release time is set to come out on Netflix at the witching hour of 12:01 am PST.
