“Never Been a Better Time to Be a Dev at Sony;” Healthy Dose of New IP coming according to Insider Info

Industry insider Ahsan Rasheed‘s sources have delivered some interesting information on the atmosphere at Sony’s first party studios, and on what we can expect from them going forward:

Nothing on Drive Club. Most of the Sony leaks are sealed, but the optimism inside first party teams is at a fever pitch.

I’ve been told there has never been a better time to be a dev at Sony. The power, the tech, the funds- its all there.

He also mentioned that we can expect a some new intellectual properties as Sony’s first parties move on from their current assignments.

And you’ll see a healthy dose of new I.P., as studios transition from older marquees to new properties.

While we should always take the word of insider with the customary pinch of salt, what Ahsan relayed is definitely not farfetched. If you’re curious about what new intellectual properties will be brought forth by the new generation (not only on Sony’s side, mind you), I am as well.

I remember when people used to say that the video game industry had run out of creative juices. Looks like those words were just a tad premature.
