Sword Coast adventurers can rejoice as the newest Neverwinter: Shroud of Souls expansion will release on Xbox One and PS4 June 20th.

A number of features come with the expansion, including a new adventure zone, customizable guild hall, new loadouts and an additional Stronghold event. The doors to your guild hall will now be open as a social space, and those granted permission will be able to live out their interior designer dreams to decorate it to their heart's content.

New loadouts has been the most requested feature for a while, and finally provides players a hot swap option for gear. Switching out individual pieces of gear took too long, so now each player will have one extra slot where they will be able to switch your full armor and weapon configuration at the press of a button. This will be good for those opting for PvP and PvE setups respectively. Those looking to purchase more loadout spots can do so with Zen.

The story of the expansion revolves around Morlanth, a dragonborn necromancer that was released due to the events of The Cloaked Ascendancy. She has unleashed the Shroud of Souls, which players must stop from taking over the Sword Coast.

Item level has also been increased for all players based on the way gear and other items count for score. Boons, companions, runestones and more all count toward your gear score, so all players will see their total item level increase approximately three-fold. For example, an item level 2600 player will now be in the area of 8600.

The Shroud of Souls released on PC last month, and will come to PS4 and Xbox One next month June 20th. Neverwinter is available digitally only as a free-to-play title on all platforms.
