Neverwinter: Uprising Out Now on PC – Adds New, Race, 10-Player Dungeon, and More to Cryptic’s MMO
Take down the Mad Mage Halaster Blackcloak as you help the Gith rebel against their eons-long subjugators in Neverwinter: Uprising today on PC.
Neverwinter is Cryptic Studios’ free-to-play action MMORPG. Today, the game gets its newest module Uprising, which adds quite a bit of content for new and veteran players alike to fight through. To celebrate the PC launch, the team has put out a brand new trailer, which you can watch below.
Neverwinter: Uprising sees the Gith join the fray as a playable race. These psionic warriors have been under the yoke of the Mind Flayers for eons and now they have decided to fight back. VIP players will get immediate access to the new race. Everyone else will have to wait two weeks to get their hands on the Gith. Players of any race can engage in the Uprising storyline, which takes you to the depths of Undermountain to take down the Mind Flayers. Halaster Blackcloak, a vicious magic-user, leads your opposition. The Mad Mage and his tower serve as the final endgame trial for groups of 10 dedicated players.
Outside of the Gith and the storyline, the team is making a few fun changes for Uprising. The Protector’s Enclave has been remodeled and early game experience has been revamped. This should make starting a fresh character much easier. They’ve also done a complete overhaul of the appearance system, which should make dressing up your character in your finest duds a better experience. Finally, the game is getting a brand new PvP map that includes new rewards for your slaying efforts.
Neverwinter: Uprising is available right now on PC. The module will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on October 1.
