You've heard me lament the fact that most third party themes for PS4 are absolute garbage, and often they are, but yesterday Truant Pixel released one that really goes a long way in redeeming the category.

The theme is named Hanami (Cherry Blossom Festival) Dynamic Theme, and can be found on the North American PlayStation Store for $2.99.

What's so special about it? Several things.

First of all, it's well designed, which is already rare on its own. Secondly, but even more importantly, the theme completely changes dynamically according to the time of day set on your PS4 clock. Sunrises, days, sunsets and nights will alternate on your screen pretty much like in the real world.

On top of that, the folks at Truant Pixels also played quite masterfully with the levels, letting the cherry branches, petals and fireflies mix in a rather lovely way with the dashboard's menu elements.

If you want a taste on what I mean, you can check out a batch of screenshots and a video below. At $2,99, this isn't the cheapest theme in the store, but it's probably worth more than most of the others combined.
