Even though Darksiders III just launched late in 2018, a new entry in the series has now been confirmed to be unveiled in just a few short weeks at E3 2019.

Thanks to a new Darksiders panel description from the E3 Coliseum website, a new game in the series is now said to be announced by THQ Nordic at the show. "This panel will coincide with the E3 2019 unveil of a brand new Darksiders game that takes the franchise in a fresh direction," says the description, confirming the existence of a new installment in the series. If I had had to take a guess, this information will likely be wiped from the website pretty soon.

Here's what the full description of the panel stated:

"A discussion about the inception of the Darksiders universe and where it’s headed next. This panel will coincide with the E3 2019 unveil of a brand new Darksiders game that takes the franchise in a fresh direction. This is a panel discussion about the art and business of creating and maintaining an action adventure franchise rich in-game and corporate lore."

There's still not a lot that we know about whatever this new game in the franchise will be, but I'm still excited to learn more. Even though Darksiders III personally didn't land with me as much as I hoped it would, I'm really glad that THQ Nordic is continuing to create more games in this saga. Whether or not this new title will follow in line with the previous games or will instead spin-off into an entirely new area remains to be seen.

Still, if you're a Darksiders fan, it's nice to know that there's more to look forward to following the end of Fury's story. We'll keep you posted once we learn more about this game in the coming weeks.
