Fans of arcade racing games from the 1990s will love the upcoming '90s Arcade Racer which has all of the things that made those games great. This title is coming to Nintendo's Wii U and we have some new details on its development.

The game is made using the Unity engine so porting it from PC to the Wii U has been a "straight forward process". Some minor changes had to be made during porting but these details weren't shared. The main thing that the developer is focusing on is how the game runs."Fidelity, image quality and a smooth framerate are our priorities". So far, the Wii U has been able to handle the game running at 60 frames per second at a resolution of 720p.

The A.I of the game is also being worked on. The goal is to create a fun arcade racing experience with 30 cars in each race.

'90s Arcade Racer is also set to be released for mobile devices. No word yet on whether it will be released on PlayStations or Xboxes. There is no firm release date for the game but the developer hopes to have it released by the mid 2014.
