Today Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia shared a few more details on the mysterious female Helghast operative that we’ll meet in the upcoming PS4 exclusive and launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall and that was heavily featured in yesterday’s story trailer. It’s worth mentioning that the info is translated from Japanese, so final names may change.

She is a New Helghan officer part of the Helghast Intelligence Agency. Information of any kind, other than the code name “Echo,” is not known.

The Vektan government’s “Shadow Marshal” program is responsible for obtaining sensitive information and covert military operations, and it is believed that the Helghast Autonomous section, which is officially announced as part of the New Helghan government, also carries out intelligence activities.

While the existence of the Helghast Intelligence Agency has never been revealed to the Vektan side, the Helghast have made full use of their infiltration technology, such as cloaking, in order to procure confidential information.

The female officer “Echo” is a soldier that belongs to the Helghast Intelligence Agency. She has delicate contacts with higher government officials in Vekta, and is suspected to be reporting the information she gathers to the New Helghan Prime Minister.
