New Developer Diary for Dungeon Defenders Talks Combat
While the first two phases of each game of Dungeon Defenders is strategy and set-up, the combat phase is when the action starts. That’s the part of the game that is discussed in this third developer diary released today by Trendy Entertainment.
There seem to be a couple ways to go about making sure your defenses hold in the combat phase. You could hang back and help bolster your defenses directly, or go on the offensive. But neither will be a sure-fire way to avoid all enemies, as some will come straight for your hero and some are quite mobile, being able to fly over your various defenses, rendering them moot.
All in all, I’m actually looking forward to this, even though I’m not a huge fan of tower defense type games. This one is gorgeous and shaping up really well, and we’ll be able to pick it up starting on October 18th, when it releases on the PlayStation Network. Hit the break to check out the video.
