New DOA Dimensions Trailer Features Metroid Stage

The new trailer for the much hyped fighting game Dead or Alive: Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS reveals a new stage. The level is Metroid inspired and features the ever-present purple villain known as Ridley. As evidenced by the trailer, Ridley will severely punish the combatant who isn’t careful enough to avoid getting knocked off the stage.

What’s also quite interesting is at the end of the fight, a glowing bomb drops down from the sky to explode in the middle of the stage. This bomb is a trademark weapon of Samus, the iconic main character from the Metroid series. Maybe Samus will be a playable character. I mean, DOA 4 had the Spartan of Halo fame so it’s not impossible. The Japanese release date of DOA:D is March 24th.  Hit the break for the trailer.
