When Is The New Dragon Ball Movie Getting Announced?

A recent leak states that Toei Animation might announce a new Dragon Ball movie on Goku Day, May 9th, 2021.

According to Anime News Network, Toei Animation Europe's new website announced the new movie ahead of its schedule. The website's listing said, "Toei Animation Marks Goku Day With Surprise Announcement of New Dragon Ball Super Movie in 2022."

Unfortunately, the listing has now been deleted; however, you can still read the listing's headline stating the same thing through this Bing cache.

As soon as the announcement went live on the website, multiple fans also spotted and saved it for social media.

If this leak turns out to be true, we'll finally get to see a new Dragon Ball movie in 2022. Of course, there's no confirmation on the movie's plot, but it's safe to assume that Broly will be a part of it; at least that's what we hope.

Note that it's hard to put a stamp on the new movie until we have something official, so take this information with a pinch of salt.

Finally, we have a lot to look forward to as we get close to Goku Day 2021. For instance, the new episode of Dragon Ball Heroes will go live on May 9th after a long delay.

Other than that, Dragon Ball's voice cast will also come together to celebrate the day with the fans. So, make sure to follow Toei Animation's official website for any further updates.
