With Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age launching next month, a new trailer has released which highlights the game's world and what players can expect from the game.

The trailer shows off Erdrea, the world that Dragon Quest XI S is set in. From there, the trailer shows off the game's turn-based combat and some of the enemies players will encounter along the way. Additionally, the trailer features the characters that can appear in your party and the different types of environments players can explore.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age is a repackage of 2018's Dragon Quest XI on the PlayStation 4 but with new features added. Among the new features added to the definitive edition to the game is the ability to play the game entirely in a 2D, 16-bit mode. Additionally, players can customize the music being played and switch between English and Japanese audio. As someone who's never played a Dragon Quest game, watching this trailer makes me want to play the game on the go when it launches on the Nintendo Switch. With all the new features added to the Switch version, I can see myself spending way too much time playing the game in both 2D and 3D modes.

On top of Dragon Quest XI S, Dragon Quest's Hero has been added as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Players can download him for free with Smash Bros. Ultimate's Fighter Pass or they can buy the Fighter Pass for $24.99. Additionally, new Dragon Quest inspired costumes, music have been added alongside a new stage.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age- Definitive Edition launches on September 27 for the Nintendo Switch.
