According to the latest statements by director Naoki Yoshida, the development of Final Fantasy XIV version 2.0 is proceeding steadily. Today Square Enix released three new and beautiful pieces of concept art showcasing something that the fans have been asking for a long time: male Miquo’te (or, in layman terms, your friendly neighborhood catboys).

The illustrations by Kazuya Takahashi also depict how male and female Hyur will look like once version 2.0 will hit.

As usual the art of Final Fantasy XIV is absolutely stunning, and I can’t wait to see how those concepts will look when they’ll be transformed into models for the game. In the meawhile you can enjoy the illustrations below.
