Today Square Enix released four new screenshots of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, giving us a glimpse on a F.A.T.E. (basically a public quest) battle against a giant boss on the client that will be used for the third phase of the beta.

The monster showcased is named Simurgh and is spelled in Katakana exactly like the Final Fantasy X equivalent, even if it looks definitely different. What’s more interesting, though, is that we see the Level Sync feature in action.

The group facing the boss includes level 50 adverturers, while Simurgh is level 23. Thanks to the Level Sync option characters are brought down to the upper level limit of the event, that appears to be 28.

That’s definitely a lovely addition to the features of the game, and one that players have demanded for a while. While we wait for the beta to resume, you can check out the screenshots below.
