New Final Fantasy XV Video Shows Building Blocks to Simulate Destruction Physics

Today Square Enix released a peculiar video of Final Fantasy XV, showing… building blocks.

The explanation is in the latest developer’s blog posted by the Japanese community team, in which Takahashi-san, who is in charge of the in-game destruction physics, explains that those building blocks are part of a test used by the development team to calibrate the collapse of physical objects.

In order to simulate various conditions, each block is given different parameters like weights, friction, rebound, chance to roll, slipperiness and more, representing different kinds of items and materials.

Personally, I just think that it would be awesome if they hid this set of toys somewhere in the game for us to play with.
