New Fire Emblem: Awakening Screens and Details Await You

Today Nintendo has shared a couple of significant details on Fire Emblem: Awakening. You’ve probably wondered how the title will utilize the 3DS’s innovative SpotPass and StreetPass features. Now we know. Players can collect new maps for the game’s ‘Gaiden’ mode over the internet via SpotPass. Using StreePass, the customized units of other players you walk by on the street will be added to your army and playable in your game. Very neat, right?

Finally, the game will also possess a local multiplayer mode in which you can play co-op battles against the CPU with your buddies. I wonder if there will be online multiplayer as well. Be sure to hit the break for the handful of new screens. Fire Emblem: Awakening will be available in Japan on April 19th.
