The latest trailer for Ghost Recon Breakpoint has dropped, and it features a striking blend of art styles. "Big Bad Wolves" superimposes vintage-style cartoons onto the game's actual graphics, which aim at realism. Check it out below.

The video consists of five stories, and they are all re-imagined and re-purposed fairy tales. "Little Camo Riding Hood," for instance, is an homage to classic story "Little Red Riding Hood," obviously. However, instead of spreading awareness about wolves in grandmothers' clothing, the new story is about the importance of using camouflage. "The Three Little Drones" is the final story of the trailer. It features three combat drones that "blow in" a few bad guys, collectively referred to as wolves.

Despite the striking visuals on display, the narrator is the real star here--he sounds like the grandfather of the year, and he transforms the mundane. You heal, for example, by casting a "magic spell," and you apply camouflage with "magic paint." He makes the world of Breakpoint seem spectacular, but maybe I'm just a sucker for a good voice actor.

"Big Bad Wolves" seems to serve as a lighthearted companion to a previously released trailer for Breakpoint called "We Are Wolves." "We Are Wolves" doesn't hide the game's grittier elements behind cartoons, so if you're interested in seeing more of that, watch it here.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is set to release on October 4 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. For more information about it, I recommend reading our preview. By all accounts, Breakpoint is shaping up to be an exciting successor to the franchise's previous installment, Wildlands.
