Namco Bandai has released a big batch of new screenshots showing off the upcoming PSP and PS Vita action RPG God Eater 2. In the God Eater series, the weapons are bigger than the characters - or at least that appears to be the case in these new screenshots. In the game, you'll use these enormous weapons to combat enormous enemies, Monster Hunter style. God Eater 2 will be available in Japan sometime this year, although no international release has been announced.

The original God Eater eventually made it out of Japan, so hopefully this sequel will too. View the new screenshots below.
