At the Rooster Teeth Expo today, 343 Industries announced new Halo 4 content in the form of the Champions Bundle DLC coming August 20th which will introduce Ricochet, a new ball game-type. The DLC will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points or can be purchased in the following separate packs:

  • The Bullseye Pack (sold separately for 480 MS Points) will include maps Pitfall (a remake of Halo 3’s The Pit) and Vertigo. The pack will also include a new gametype called Ricochet, which will be made available for free to everyone after the initial two weeks of release. Ricochet is a sort of basketball game mode where two teams of five will battle for the ball, which can be picked up and thrown into the opposing team’s goal for points. Players who run into the goal with the ball will score more points for the team.
  • The Infinity Armor Pack (sold separately for 240 MS Points) will include the Prefect, Mark V, and ODST armor.
  • Steel Skin Pack (also at 240 MSP separately) adds a steampunk style skin to UNSC, Covenant, and Forerunner weapons.

Users who purchase the Champions Bundle will get all three packs as well as bonus content exclusive to the bundle for a limited time, featuring 18 new in-game items.

The DLC will be available Aug. 20th for 800 Microsoft Points and will not be included as part of Halo 4's Season Pass.

In addition to this news,  343 Industries also released a Champions Bundle DLC trailer which can be viewed below.
