New Hitman Game Won’t be Shown at E3; First Concept Art Revealed
Back in January, IO-Interactive talked about how they will have more frequent updates about their currently in development Hitman game. Today, the studio released a new piece of concept art as well as spoke about their plans (or lack thereof) for E3.
In order to not get anyone’s hopes up about a possible E3 appearance, IO flat out said that the game will not be shown during this year’s E3. “We’re focusing all of our time and efforts into creating the best possible Hitman game,” says IO-Interactive.” That’s our number one priority and we don’t want to divert valuable resources to show something before it’s ready.”
As for the concept art itself, we see Agent 47 in the foreground as he looks upon a large building that is bathed in spotlights. The entire structure will be explorable and is said to be the larger than any location in Hitman: Absolution.
The next Hitman game will be the most expansive game in the series. It will have a more open design which will allow players to complete missions in various ways.
Right now we don’t have a launch window, let alone a release date for the game as it’s still in development for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. When details emerge we’ll let you guys know.
