New L.A. Noire Video Shows Impressive Tech

Rockstar today released a new video on their upcoming L.A. Noire. It answers the one burning question everyone has had about the game since its first trailer was revealed more than a month ago: What kind of crazy voodoo magick are these guys using to animate the characters’ faces? It looks almost too good. Well, it turns out the answer is a huge, overly-well-lit room with about a million cameras examining every facet of the actor’s head while he delivers his lines. Seriously, this thing stops just short of scanning and chopping up your body piece by piece so you can enter the world of the computer and do battle with Master Control.

Anyway, the whole thing is pretty crazy, and we’ve got the video for you after the jump. I’m getting pretty pumped for this game, though.
