The upcoming title will be published by Riot Forge, a third-party publishing label of Riot Games.Founded in 2019, Riot Forge partners with indie developers to create narrative-focused games that expand the League of Legends universe. In collaboration with Airship Syndicate, Riot Forge released Ruined King, a turn-based role-playing game and dungeon crawler. Ruined King begins in Bilgewater and follows Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Yasuo, Ahri, Braum, and Pyke to the mysterious Shadow Isles. With Ruined King's success despite technical issues, Riot Forge is continuing to draw from and build upon League of Legends lore to publish more games.RELATED: League Of Legends Teases Future Champions, Milio and Naafiri The South Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee finalized its classification decision of Mageseeker today. A translation of the decision from Korean to English reveals several pieces of information, including the title, platform, genre, rating, and rating reason. Mageseeker has been classified as an action game and will be coming to PC at an unannounced date. The committee determined that Mageseeker is suitable for players who are at least 12 years old, with the justification behind the rating as "continuous battle scenes against humans/non-humans." The rating reason also includes a brief description of the game, naming Sylas as the protagonist and Demacia as the setting.

Released in 2019, Sylas: The Unshackled is a revolutionary mage fighting against oppression in Demacia, a kingdom that forbids witchcraft. Due to an accident that left three dead, Sylas was imprisoned in a mageseeker compound until he used Lux's magic to escape. Upon breaking out, Sylas recruited exiled mages and sought to topple the Demacian monarchy. Published on the day of Sylas' release, the short video "Magic is Rising: Stand With Sylas" features illustrations of mages being apprehended by Demacian soldiers and a voice-over sharing The Unshackled's disillusionment with Demacian ideals. "All those noble ideals and promises of a brighter future — they were never meant for the likes of us," the voice-over proclaims. "We have been stripped of our freedom, our dignity, our very lives." Sylas rallies his fellow mages to fight back against the authorities, with the final image of the video depicting a face-off between Sylas and Garen.

Aside from Mageseeker, Riot Forge has several previously announced spin-off titles published or in the works: Hextech Mayhem, Song of Nunu, and CONVERGENCE. Each game focuses on different champions from League of Legends and features iconic locations throughout Runeterra. Rhythm runner Hextech Mayhem puts players in the shoes of chaotic Hexplosives expert Ziggs as he sets off bombs across Piltover. Set in the harsh tundra of Freljord, Song of Nunu follows young adventurer Nunu and magical yeti Willump on a journey to find Nunu's mother. CONVERGENCE, a 2D platformer, centers inventor and time traveler Ekko as he battles enemies in Zaun.

Hextech Mayhem and Ruined King are available now on PC and Nintendo Switch. Hextech Mayhem is accessible on mobile devices as well, while Ruined King is playable on PS4 and Xbox One. League of Legends fans hoping to play Song of Nunu and CONVERGENCE will have to wait a little longer for their release. In October, Riot Forge announced on Twitter and Steam that both titles, originally expected to launch last year, would be delayed until "sometime in 2023."
