New Lord of Apocalypse Trailer Showcases… Cthulhu?

Square Enix published today a new trailer of Lord of Apocalyspe, that will debut together with the PS Vita (and on PSP as well) on December the 17th.

The new trailer, titled “Boss of Apocalypse”, shows two of the bosses of the game, Xerses and Cthulhu. Yes, you read it correctly: looks like Square Enix took over Lovercraft’s nightmarish creation, and turned him into an enemy that we’ll fight in Lord of Apocalypse.

He doesn’t look much like the “tentacle faced” monsters we are used to see in illustrations and on book covers, but he does still kinda fit the original “an octopus, a dragon, and a human caricature” description. He’s also rather enormous.

You ca see him (and Xerses) past the cut.
