Though Mario Kart 8 has already been released and well-acclaimed on the Wii U, one of the best things to come out of the new title (perhaps by accident) has been the flood of memes generated by the infamous (and slightly terrifying) "Luigi Death Stare." Luckily, if you couldn't get enough of Mario's younger brother staring menacingly into the camera, the latest Japanese TV commercial for the game features it in full hilarity.

A new Japanese TV commercial for Mario Kart 8 released by the Nintendo Japan YouTube channel shows off plenty of the gameplay and antics that have (already) made Mario Kart 8 such a big hit across the world on Wii U, with slow motion shots of the characters in motion being the prime focus of the trailer. All the racing, shell attacks, and yes, the Luigi Death Stare, get displayed in slow-motion, hilarious glory.
